What is a treatment with Xeomin like?
A Xeomin treatment requires just a few minutes to complete. The area to be treated is numbed with a gel, and once numbed, the injections are performed. You may still feel a minor pinch as the needle is placed. The number of injections varies person to person. If you have very deep frown lines between your eyebrows, you may need several injections, typically four to five. If we have not treated you before, we are conservative in injecting Xeomin. We want to see how it works with your unique physiology. Once we see the results, we can add more Xeomin if necessary.
After your Xeomin treatment: Do’s and don’ts
After your injections, you can return to your regular activities. You must avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the area treated, even though you may be tempted.
Do no lie down or engage in exercise, running, or other vigorous actions for 24 hours. Avoid heat, whether in a sauna, outside, or in a hot tub for 48 hours. The reason is that the Xeomin has been carefully injected and it needs to stay in place so you can enjoy the smoothing effect – which you will see in about four to seven days.
